Join us for our 1st Survival Sunday event in Nairobi: a grassroots consultation to gather bold proposals on how the United Nations could better serve the people of Kenya.

From climate change to poverty, the world is facing many survival threats that remain unaddressed. Those threats are already impacting us everywhere, including Kenya, from droughts to looming famines. They are global in nature, and the United Nations fails to deal with them due to its undemocratic, exclusive, and outdated setup. It’s time to act and come together to find bold solutions and push them forward for humanity's well-being.

Join this event to develop radical ideas on how the United Nations could better serve the people of Kenya and what it could learn from them! The opening panel will include Nerima Wako-Ojima, Boniface Mwangi, Stella Nderitu, and our candidate Colombe Cahen-Salvador. The event will then be focused on you and your ideas: we will work together to come up with solutions!

This is a free event. The location can host up to 80 people, so participants will be admitted on a first come first serve basis. Soft drinks will be provided during the event.

This Survival Sunday event will be the Sunday before the United Nations Civil Society Conference, which will take place in town on May 9-10, to push the ideas during the conference. It is also part of our campaign to challenge the selection process of the United Nations Secretary-General!

What are #SurvivalSundays? Monthly radical grassroots consultations to harness your ideas, vision, and passion to solve the most urgent threats of our times. The United Nations is too remote, isolated and out of touch with the people of our planet. Through #SurvivalSundays, we change this, involving individuals and communities from around the planet. And we mean it: our teams of volunteers will then take those ideas, work on them and we will push them in our electoral campaign.

How can you participate? Survival Sundays take place both online and in person! So register, and we will send you all the information (if you want to host a decentralised in-person event, reach out).

What will happen? We will involve you to create a genuine political revolution. We know it may be daunting to be challenged with coming up with ideas to save the world, but we have your back. We have facilitated many successful consultations before. Together, we will 1) Identify the core sticking points/issues, 2) Prioritize the topics to be discussed, 3) develop concrete solutions that we will push forward in our UN campaign. The event is set to last 5 hours.

And don't forget to endorse our campaign!
